With the cooling Mediterranean breezes the rosé from Provence are subtle, usually bone dry with luscious fruit coming from the grape varieties Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvédre. There are also interesting red blends made from Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon coming from this region particularly from Chateau de Chausse with robust layers of red and black berry fruits, spice and smoky oak.
